St. Joseph’s Sponsors 2009 Iron Man Station

A dozen employees and 38 residents supported the event from Wilmington Bike Aid Station #6 providing nourishment
and encouragement to approximately 2,200 racers as they made their way back into Lake Placid near the end of the
56-mile bike loop which the riders completed twice during the cycling portion of the event.
In addition to the title of First Place Aid Station, St. Joseph’s received a contribution from the World Triathlon
Corporation, the company that oversees the Lake Placid competition, for $1,000. The donation will be directed to
St. Joseph’s scholarship fund and represents a meaningful way for the current clients who earned the donation
to profice future residents who desire to come to St. Joseph's.
